As the motor freight industry transitions to lower emissions' fleets, it’s becoming apparent that the regulators' current "stick' strategies need to be combined with new and different types of 'carrot' incentives .

Tractor and Drayage new vehicle purchase rebates certainly help, but operators also need ongoing incentives linked to their everyday operating expenses.

These expenses include purchases of lower emission drivetrain vans and trucks of all classes, fuel, tires, maintenance, and older tractors' sustainable upgrades.

We are building a coalition of regulators, advocacy groups,  OEMs, and other fleet industry suppliers who are committed to doing more to make the 'green transition' more affordable for operators by committing to offer rebate, discount, and loyalty programs encouraging low or zero emission fleet operating practices and equipment investment.

We also believe more has to be done to enlist shippers in supporting 'green' transitioning fleets. One of our initiatives is to provide a universal freight load board interface to highlight fleets with transparent sustainability profiles in the bid and RFP processes.
